Dylan had his music concert at school last week. You could hear him above all those kids. He was wonderful!!

Snow Day!

This boys were home from school yesterday, due to the ice. So, I kicked them outside for a while.

They came in after a while and we had hot chocolate with marshmallows and Christmas sugar cookies that we made the night before.

HO HO HO!!!

Brian and I decided to participate in the Des Moines Santa Pub Crawl this year. If you can imagine, 725 people, yes 725 people, dressed up as Santa, or some Christmas themed thing, all going from bar to bar on 15 buses. From 7:30 til midnight, we visited 5 places. It was absolute insanity, and an unbelievably fantastic time!! We will definitely be doing this again next year!

Jamie dressing up Carl and John on the bus. Every time we got on the bus to go to the next bar we all sang Christmas songs. By the end of the night we were all lit up like Christmas trees, and Jingle Bells was the only song anyone could remember...kinda.

Happy Birthday Brian!!

Brian turned 29 this year. He requested a cheesecake, which is very unusual, but I made him one anyway. Happy Birthday Honey!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We traveled to Pocahontas to visit Brian's family for Thanksgiving. Look out here's trouble. Cousins Logan, Paige, and Ella, all in one chair.

We also got to celebrate Ella's 2nd birthday. Here are all the kids watching patiently as she opens her gifts. You probably have never seen this many children behaving all at the same time, and you probably never will again!

Ella liked her cake, but she also thought it was cool to hold the fork in her mouth. Look no hands!

Then Brian was attacked by Paige and Logan. They did a number on him.

And of course, best buddies, Cameron and Logan.

This is just priceless. We have the same exact picture of Brian holding Logan when he was an infant. Same look on his face.

Happy Birthday Logan!!

What an exciting birthday for Logan! He turned 4 this year. So we had a birthday party and trick-or-treating all in one night!

He thought that a Lightning McQueen cake was the best thing ever!


Both kids got a kick out of the presents.

On Saturday we had our annual Halloween costume party. Here is myself, all gothed out, Chrystal as jailbird Paris, Jamie as Little Red Riding Hood, Beth as Princess Leah, and Kyla is a pumpkin.
