Summer's End

The end of summer always means back to school and Dylan's birthday. This year we were lucky enough to spend Dylan's birthday at Uncle Bob & Aunt Michelle's house. Dylan really wanted to spend the day swimming and riding horses, so that's exactly what we did, and it was great!

Dylan surfing....sort of.

Here I am trying to keep Kyla from killing herself. She litterally kept jumping in. She didn't care if anyone was there to catch her!

Kyla thought Aunt Michelle's flowery flip flops were really cool!

Uncle Bob and the boys.

Dylan's ice cream cake that Aunt Michelle & Uncle Bob got him. He loved that it was a horse!

Happy Birthday! I can't believe he's 12 already!!

Dylan got a lot of cool presents, but the best one was a real cowboy hat! Thanks a bunch Bob & Michelle! He's still wearing it all the time!

Look at that huge smile.

Kyla wanted a hat too.

After that we all played some games outside.

Watch out for these two! I think they mean business!

In the middle of the afternoon, Kyla found herself the perfect spot to look up at the sky, and into the trees. So cute!

After that, it was time to get down to business and ride some horses! Dylan loves it so much.

Yee Haw!!

Cowgirls.

It's been years since I've been on a horse! Kyla loved it! She kept saying, "Wee yeah!"

Then we switched riders, and she fell asleep, horseback!! Kinda sounds like something her dad used to do, only there was a little more horsepower involved. Ha!

Logan likes to ride horses too!

There's Aunt Michelle barefoot, and can't reach the stirups. She's a natural.

And here we have a rare photograph of the biggest, baddest, most elusive, two legged smart ass you ever saw....yep, it's Cowboy Bob!!

We stopped by to visit with Grandma while we were there.

Once again, Kyla walked right up to her, and reached out her arms. She likes Great Grandma's lap.

After a wonderful weekend we headed home, because the next day, Logan had his very first day of school. So far, he's loving Kindergarten.
